Salem County is the Garden Spot of the Garden State, Salem County lies in the southwest corner of our great state. It is bounded by the Delaware River and Bay to the west and the Maurice River to the east.
Salem County’s natural features include six rivers, more than 34,000 acres of unique meadow and marshland, tidal and freshwater wetlands, 40 lakes and ponds, bay beaches, dunes, expansive woodlands, a critical underground aquifer, numerous streams and important headwaters. Salem County is also notable for its distinctive Quaker-inspired architecture and masonry styles of the 18th century.

CFSJ Grants & Support
- A $5,000 grant was given to the Appel Farm Arts and Music Center’s HeART and Health Program, to support HeART and Health Program which is targeted to at-risk families in Salem County to foster improved interaction, communication, and socialization skill through a holistic approach in which the art is used to reinforce and expand conventional family services at Tri-County Action Agency’s Family Success Centers.
- A $2,500 grant was given to the ‘Robins’ Nest, Inc‘s Nurse-Family Partnership program, to support the Nurse-Family Partnership program, a home visitation program offering parenting education, supportive services to low-income, first-time parents in Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem Counties.
